Like others I am stuck at arrival at stormside, but the workaround doesn't seem to work for me. I edited the renpy-textfile, opened the console and typed messageCount = 1 left by pressing escape, but nothing changed. I tried different things, like restarting, doing it during/after the texting. Any ideas?

I really liked this game. I loved the designs, animations and gameplay. As a scene completionist, I struggled a bit with which options to choose. I'll hold off on this for now and stick with the route I built in my game and leave trying other options later. A very good game without a doubt, I enjoyed every moment.
While I'd love to just say "not currently" the actual answer is just no. Not because I have anything against female protagonists, but more just because it's not right for my game. It would require such a massive rewrite that it would basically be a totally different game at that point. As just one person it's not really something I'd have time to accomplish by myself. If someone wanted to make a female PC mod or something and make the necessary changes, sure, but I'm not planning to do anything like that myself.

Excellent work. i played stormside and enjoyed it a lot. The art is excellent and girls are very pretty. This game has all of my favourite themes like male domination, bdsm, and blackmail, and it does not have any of my disliked elements, such as i dislike Weak MC, Extra Large Boobs (which is very common in hentai), and dark girls. The story is interesting, but lacks clarity. The MC goal is to train girls at an academy to be obedient to their superior. MC is ordered to do this by the sponsors of the academy but so far it is not clear what the sponsors want. The MC personality is also quite inconsistent, because initially he is introduced as a simple, kind and friendly person who cares a lot about his family and female friends, then later when he makes choices like punish a girl and spank her, it does not really suit his initial personality. His dominant choices would make more sense if he was betrayed by a lover or multiple lovers in his backstory, then he will have a clear reason to mistreat or dominate a girl.
Overall, i really enjoyed this game. i first played the romance route, then submission and then slave route. My favourite scene was about Akemi offering herself to get spanked instead of her sister. That scene was very hot. it had very interesting and reasonable dialogue where the mc tried to anger her and manipulate her through careful planning. very hot.
i played this game on my smartphone y9 prime 2019 with 4 GB Ram, using joiplay and renpy plugin. it worked very smooth but there was one small error where the MC goes to riley when she is waiting outside the basement. The error was easily solved by skip button.

I'm planning on downloading the patch to update my old existing 0.22.06. So I just download the patch and extract it to my regular files and put it into the old game folder in the Stormside game? That will update the 0.22.06 to the current 0.23.1.4? Wanted to makes sure I do it in the proper order so I don't lose my saved file.
I really like this game. A lot of these types of games can be super off-putting for a trillion reasons, but this game is so fantastic in every way. I love each of the characters so much, and I really love what the developer did with the gameplay. There's only so much you can do with a visual novel, but this one's delivered in each aspect. I'm very excited to see where it goes next!
This is one of those games I have been looking for, for a long time. A game where I can do both romance and bdsm stuff. Just cause I want to bang a girl till she cannot stand up, does not mean I don't want to cuddle afterwards. Just cause I treat a girl like a princess in the streets, does not mean I can't treat her like a slave in the sheets. Its nice to have maledom stuff without having to be a raping asshole.
I saw this commented before but I fell upon the same issue. Upon arriving at Stormy Side and Chatting with Dad on the phone, after the conversation ends I cannot do anything. I got through it with Renpy console like you had replied before but I thought it'd be important to mention the issue persists. Love the game so far.

Great game! I personally don't like sadism and thought that the game would be more focused around that, but the romance paths are really sweet. And going for romance doesn't mean that there are way less lewd scenes, unlike another game I could mention.
And the gameplay is so... interesting. A lot of humor and unexpected stuff and great ideas in general. A lot of other AVNs kind of fall short in that regard but I felt really entertained here. Highly recommendable.
Ok, here are some bad points: One, this is the laggiest AVN I've played so far. My PC is a bit old but it was a gaming PC once. I already played around with the VRAM setting, but no avail. It's very tolerable though, not that big of a deal yet. Two, since there are a lot of branching paths I worry that this game will take forever to finish. And by extension, that the game will get abandoned at some point. Would be a shame.
To complete this compliment sandwich, I think the lewd scenes are really well done. Animations, sound and writing are all great. They're actually one of the best imo.
I see, then our preferences are about the same. As long as you stay on the romance paths you'll definitely get your fill of wholesomeness! But you could (if you choose) also be really mean to the girls, there's a huge contrast. The greater story is just about to kick off, not much I can say about it atm. The smaller stories are very interesting though.

The most aggravating thing about these amazing AVNs is that most of them are unfinished lol. Like eternum is amazing, but being 70% done with THAT cliffhanger is such a kick in the nuts, which is why I currently prefer oial. On that note, I recommend summer heat for you, it's amazing even though it's only on .5. it's got great and wholesome romances, and even different dialogue if you do a "pure" run (dedicated to one girl)
great game, amazing animations, awesome graphics, and great story. I usually enjoy skipping to the animation on VN's but i didnt with this one, im also not into punishment type games either but this one is nicely done, it has a good mix of punishment and sexual acts. And i love that you can pick what girls gets punished or avoid it entirely if you want. One of the best Visual Novels i have tried so far.
Since I don't speak Chinese, I wouldn't be doing one myself. However, the next update adds translation support, so if someone wanted to make a Chinese translation, they could do that. I imagine quite a few of the jokes regarding things like Hikari and Sasha's broken English would stop making sense though.
regarding the scene you couldn't render, what gpu do you have? not that I've ever done any rendering my self, but i can't imagine it would take a ridiculous amount (more than 8) for these?
Heh, this ended up being a much longer answer than I expected.
At the time, I was using a 7 year old 980ti which had seen pretty much daily use during those years, so I'm honestly surprised it was still working at all. It was very very unstable to the point where I'd be having the entire PC crash up to 8 times an hour (Depending on what I was doing). Somehow I managed to set up that scene without it crashing, but it was late in the day, and I figured I'd come back to it the next day or whatever. However, after that the longest I was ever able to actually have the scene loaded was about 3 minutes before it would crash. Realistically, I probably could have actually done the renders, but it would have taken like 20 times longer than normal, so instead of delaying the update I just said fuck it and drew some stick people. Another fun fact about the 980ti is that it was the original reason that there aren't a whole lot of students at the academy. Since I could have a max of like 3 characters on screen at once without it crashing, trying to populate backgrounds and things was basically impossible without photoshopping every render, so I rewrote that part of the game to make the lack of students part of the story. This is also why there are strange shadow people in the lecture hall when Kellin is introducing himself and stuff. I'd planned to fill out backgrounds with those instead of actual characters, but it turns out they're almost just as bad for performance, so I dropped the idea after that. I still need to get around to going back to rerender that bit without the random shadow people, but I'm in no huge rush on that front.
These days, due to the generous support of those enjoying the game, I have a better GPU. Specifically, it was actually just one guy who straight up bought me a new one by buying the game for some silly amount with the agreement that I'd use it to buy the GPU, so now I have a 3060 instead. This, in addition to someone else doing something similar allowing me to get 64GB of RAM, has allowed me to start sometimes filling out backgrounds with the second year girls, which a lot of people mistake as me just adding more characters because I think that's what people want. The reality of that is that they're just the background characters I would have added if I'd had a better GPU from the start, but I decided to give them a little bit of personality at least because I kinda dislike the idea of actual background characters. At very least, I felt they should have names. I also figured I might as well use them occasionally for stupid scenes that would derail the main girls' stories if I were to have them involved instead. (Like the ghost dildo thing, which would clash pretty heavily with the story of any of the main girls who aren't already aware of MC's power)
I could definitely get that MS paint scene finished now though, but given how frequently I get comments asking me not to change it, it's not very high on my priority list. HS2 is quite poorly optimised though, so I can say that whilst 8GB of VRAM would be fine most of the time, a scene with 5 or so characters might start to struggle depending on the map. It kinda depends, but either way the main point is that you could probably have a 4090 and still run into issues in HS2 a lot sooner than you'd assume based on the GPU.
Liking this game a lot. My knowledge of British slang is pretty good, Spanish language countries varies a LOT and only know a few variations, Japanese and Russian non-existent, best I can do is read a menu using my alphabet and their words. Bellend ... is that really unisex? Very rarely encountered it, took way too much time screwing around on bike tour, and never got farther north than York because of time of year. My understanding was that (literally) it meant dickhead.
That's pretty much what it means, yeah. It can generally be used the same way any generic insult is used, where it isn't usually used to actually refer to the technical meaning of the term. Kinda like calling someone an asshole is almost never a case of calling them a literal anus.
It's not as common as it used to be, but does still get used. The main reason I used it in this case is because it's very much uniquely British, and felt like a decent way of accentuating the fact that Cassie isn't American. Couldn't use twat for that, which is another go-to, since Americans apparently do say that (Albeit, more like twought rather than twat.)
I can't personally attest to the accuracy of the Russian slang usage (Which doesn't come up often), but I get help with that stuff from my Russian translator, so I'd assume it to be reasonably accurate. For Japanese (And Indonesian), it's all just google translate at the moment, but I recently got in contact with a Japanese translator, who has offered to make the Japanese that shows up in the game more organic, so the Japanese should soon be native accurate. Not so important to the actual game, but I like to get details like that right where possible.
What i did: I wanted to see what the last possible save-page is, so i first went left on the sites, to see if i skip from Autosaves to last page. Since i didn't, i wanted to use the page feature on the top right, missed the little minus and just tried to go to page -99 accidently The Problem now: The game crashed while trying to reach that save page, and whenever i try to get into the menu now it still tries to get to savepage -99 (i guess) and just instantly crashes. So i also couldn't make just a new game and safe there, it always crashes the moment i right-click to get to the inGame-Menu.
There should be several ways to fix this but the best is to delete the most recent saved games found it both the <game location folder>\Stormside-v0.23.1.4-win\game\saves folder and duplicated in the users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Renpy\Stormside-1640885091 folder. This way you will not loose every save but just the one you do not want. If this fails you may have to delete all the saves and start a new game. This should work.
Awesome game I can't wait to see the new versions of the game, it's original, and with smooth animations, one of the best games I've ever played in this category, congratulations. and I hope that in the next updates there will be more lesbian content
It's a game about school where you're allowed to punish the female students. That's where the similarities end. I should probably just delete this since it's straight up just misinformation, but I won't. At least not for now. I want the headmaster to do well, but I don't see how you could play both games and still think mine is a ripoff. It'd be like calling all WW2 movies a ripoff of whatever the first WW2 movie was. *Just to edit this since I see the original post was deleted, I wasn't the one who did it.
So many games take place in school or with more of a dominant MC. Headmaster is clearly more linear and serious as of Stormside is way more open on how to play but also way more funny/corny.
Both cant be compared other then how the punishement are done.

I wouldn't say Headmaster is more serious (been playing for years, and the humor is viciously dry with a nice dose of cynicism, which is why I love it). Only in the early stages of this game right now, but so far the uniform styles seem to to be the biggest similarity.
If I had a gripe, it would be with Itch. The "similar games" engines is a massive disgrace. As is the inability to search games by name and still not have them come up.
I'd also point out the limited number of scenarios where the concept works.

it's not, like the dev said, similar themes, as a fan of both games i enjoy them as individual games, and to the dev, keep up the good work! cause this game has SERIOUS promise

I can't personally attest to the accuracy of the Russian slang usage (Which doesn't come up often), but I get help with that stuff from my Russian translator, so I'd assume it to be reasonably accurate. For Japanese (And Indonesian), it's all just google translate at the moment, but I recently got in contact with a Japanese translator, who has offered to make the Japanese that shows up in the game more organic, so the Japanese should soon be native accurate. Not so important to the actual game, but I like to get details like that right where possible.

i kinda fucked up my game xD
What i did:
I wanted to see what the last possible save-page is, so i first went left on the sites, to see if i skip from Autosaves to last page. Since i didn't, i wanted to use the page feature on the top right, missed the little minus and just tried to go to page -99 accidently
The Problem now:
The game crashed while trying to reach that save page, and whenever i try to get into the menu now it still tries to get to savepage -99 (i guess) and just instantly crashes. So i also couldn't make just a new game and safe there, it always crashes the moment i right-click to get to the inGame-Menu.
Do you think there is any possibilty to fix this?
There should be several ways to fix this but the best is to delete the most recent saved games found it both the <game location folder>\Stormside-v0.23.1.4-win\game\saves folder and duplicated in the users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Renpy\Stormside-1640885091 folder. This way you will not loose every save but just the one you do not want. If this fails you may have to delete all the saves and start a new game. This should work.
It worked! Only had to delete the recent Saves

It's a game about school where you're allowed to punish the female students. That's where the similarities end. I should probably just delete this since it's straight up just misinformation, but I won't. At least not for now. I want the headmaster to do well, but I don't see how you could play both games and still think mine is a ripoff. It'd be like calling all WW2 movies a ripoff of whatever the first WW2 movie was.

So many games take place in school or with more of a dominant MC. Headmaster is clearly more linear and serious as of Stormside is way more open on how to play but also way more funny/corny.
Both cant be compared other then how the punishement are done.
Both great games with great future ahead. But i cannot way for the next Stormside update. I just want to know what is going on with MC being kinapped.
I wouldn't say Headmaster is more serious (been playing for years, and the humor is viciously dry with a nice dose of cynicism, which is why I love it). Only in the early stages of this game right now, but so far the uniform styles seem to to be the biggest similarity.
If I had a gripe, it would be with Itch. The "similar games" engines is a massive disgrace. As is the inability to search games by name and still not have them come up.
I'd also point out the limited number of scenarios where the concept works.

Like Eternum it's full of joke that you can tell are jokes and will laugh as of headmaster. there's jokes there too but they are more subtile and also like you said dry. bot have jokes and are good but both are way different
Eternum ... crosses a lot fewer fetish lines. I think the humor there (and here) is probably more accessible to non-native English speakers.
it's not, like the dev said, similar themes, as a fan of both games i enjoy them as individual games, and to the dev, keep up the good work! cause this game has SERIOUS promise
